Current status: The previously announced fall 2026 target is no longer current. Producers told People the revival is still moving forward. A new date and theatre have not been announced.
What changed
People reported in August 2026 that the revival would no longer open in fall 2026, while producers said it was “absolutely moving forward.” The production was initially announced for fall 2026; this page reflects the later reported schedule update.
What to watch for
A new theatre, preview schedule, or opening date would move this from a timeline update to a confirmed booking. Until then, we treat the project as in development without a current Broadway date.
